For instance, you use this screen to select background images and set which actions will snooze or cancel an alarm. The links to the right of the image will give further detail about specific functions of this screen.

Timer/Stopwatch: Select the type of action to which the timer and stopwatch button will respond, either a 'button press' or a 'button release'.

VFS path...: You need to tell Bob's Alarm where to look to find wave and mp3 files that you have stored on an external memory card. The card must use the VFS protocol, which is common to Palm devices using SD and SM cards, for example.

Remove MIDI copies: Duplicate MIDI tone names in the Alert Settings>Tones MIDI list will be skipped. The same MIDI tone may exist in more than one location on your device, so, with this option selected, the name will not be repeated in the list.

Display only BA next events: The next event display on the main screen, and on the alarm screen when an event happens, will display the next BA event, or, optionally, the next alarm event from a selection of other appliations. See the Next alert description for a listing of the applications whose events are compatible with Bob's Alarm.

Event log (MemoPad): This option will write messages to MemoPad to help debug the application if features do not perform correctly. A message called "BAlarm-Log:" will automatically be created in the "Unfiled" category of MemoPad. The application will continually monitor the status of your device. Upon synch or reset, the application will check the current alarm setting and report this to MemoPad. Upon power-up and power-down, Bob's Alarm will check if there is a discrepancy between the current alarm time and your settings in Bob's Alarm. If a discrepancy is found, Bob's Alarm will fix it as per your settings in Bob's Alarm and will report this to MemoPad. Whenever an alarm sounds, the time of the event will be reported to MemoPad.

If MemoPad does not have a record of an alarm that you expected, then it did not happen. You will see duplicate entries of the alarm time being "Set." This is because it reports only the NEXT event. If you have an event set for 06:00 and you are toggling/adjusting an 08:00 alarm, then the NEXT alarm is still 06:00 and that one will be reported.

Timeout log (MemoPad): This option will write messages to MemoPad to record when an event sounded but the user did not take any action. This feature allows you to check if you have missed any alarms or not. If an event goes unacknowledged, and it therefore allowed to "time-out", the date, time and name of the event will be recorded in MemoPad. A message called "BATimeout-Log:" will automatically be created in the "Unfiled" category of MemoPad.

You can safely delete some of the content from an eventlog or timeoutlog note, or delete the note entirely. The note will be recreated the next time Bob's Alarm detects something that needs to be reported.

Use AttnMgr: If this option is turned on then Bob's Alarm will use the Attention Manager application to remind you of any events that you missed, and went unconfimed. If you confirm an event any time prior to its "timeout" time then there will be no AttnMgr reminder.
