Summary:
Home Grown Icons is an icon file that can be used with DateBk5 on HiRes devices (320x320) like the Palm Tungsten series and Zire71.  I created Home Grown Icons (HGI) because I was unable to find another HiRes icon set that was free.  HGI currently contains over 250 beautifully rendered icons.  These icons are also grouped into categories with headings for each group (office, home, auto, travel, sports, etc.) – 22 categories in all!  Many of these icons were meticulously created by hand using Icon Manager (a program developed by Christpher Antos that is available on PalmGear).  Others were based loosely on existing public domain clipart images as well as icons found in Microsoft Windows, MacOS, and BeOS.

Requirements:
  • Palm handheld with HiRes screen (320x320)
  • DateBk5 (preview version 6 or later).  DateBk5 downloads can be obtained at www.pimlicosoftwre.com.
 

Installation & Use:

  1. Hotsync your device to ensure you have a backup of your current data.

  2. Install the Icons-DATEBK5.PRC file onto your HiRes Palm device.  For information regarding installation of files onto your handheld, please refer to the software manual for your desktop application (Palm Desktop, etc.)
    CAUTION: Installing this file will replace any other DateBk5 icon library named Icons-DATEBK5.PRC that you currently have on your handheld.

  3. When the icon file has been installed on your handheld, you will be able to access them under the icon button on the event details screen in DateBk5.
 
Terms & Conditions:

You may use Home Grown Icons free of charge for as long as you like.  There is no registration fee or trial period.  Feel free to distribute this icon file to other DateBk5 users as long as you do not: alter any of the icons, add new icons to the file, or delete existing icons.  The icons contained in this file should not be copied or imported into other icon files that you plan to distribute (regardless of whether those new libraries are freeware or shareware).  You may, however, copy and paste HGI icons into your current icon library as long as you do not distribute that icon library to anyone else (via beaming, etc.).

No warranty is expressed or implied with the distribution of this software.  The author assumes no liability for damages or loss of data resulting from using, attempting to use, installing, or attempting to install this software.
