| Introduction |
Looney Ball is a colourful game to challenge your mind and reactions. The game is a remix of the classic game Popcorn. The aim is to break all the bricks in order to make your way to the next level.
As you advance in the game, the levels get harder. At some point you may have broken all visible bricks but the game won't progress to the next level. The reason is that there are 'tricky' invisible bricks that still remain to be broken. If you are lucky enough you may catch a bonus that will show you all invisible bricks on this level (if there are any).

| How To Install |
Use an extractor program such as WinZip
on the PC to get
Looney Ball files. Install the game by double-clicking the .prc file, which opens the Install Tool program.
Use the HotSync button as usual to install the game onto your
Palm OS device. Now run Looney Ball and
tap anywhere on the screen to play the game! If you have any queries about

In the main applications screen of
your device, tap on the Looney Ball icon. The following picture will appear on
the display:
How to
Play
Snake
In the demo version you can play only the first three levels of the game.
Choose Your starting Level
The game begins with Level 1 and then gradually moves you to the next levels. If you wish to start from a higher level you should go to Menu|Options|Preferences. The following screen will appear:
Select the level you wish to start from (if the game is not registered you can choose up to 3rd level). Tap on the OK button to start the game. If the game is already registered you will be able to choose your level by tapping on the arrows presented in the above picture.

Special Bonuses:
The Extra Play Ball bonus adds a ball and sets it in motion. All of the extra play balls stay until the end of the level. If there are already four balls in play the ball is added to the balls remaining!
The Fireball bonus gives you an 'almighty' ball that breaks any brick on its way in a single touch!
There are also: an Enlarge/Shrink Paddle bonus, Speed Up and Slow Down bonuses, Level Wrap and a bunch of other bonuses that you can find listed in the Bonus Legend.
Scoring:
If you manage to break a brick you will get 10 points; at each blow at a brick you will receive 5 points. You will be given some more points depending on the playing level. Additional points are received if you manage to break the hidden bricks as well as the unbreakable balls (this is possible if you manage to get advantage of the Fire-ball. The following screen will appear when you finish the game.

Use the
hardware buttons or the stylus to play the game.If you want to copy the game Looney Ball from one Palm device to another you have to choose the option Beam to a friend from Menu|Game|Beam to a friend.
| Game Settings |
The game Looney Ball has 30 levels of difficulty. If you want to choose your level of difficulty go to Menu|Options|Preferences.
Additionally you can set up the level of the sound - by moving the slider.
Keys:
Ĺither one of the left buttons moves the paddle to the left of the board and any of the right ones moves it to the right.
The up button releases a ball.
The down button starts a new game when the game is over. Extra balls are awarded at 2,000, 4,000, 8,000 and 16,000 points or when you catch a falling bonus that contains one.
To darken the ball or the paddle, adjust the screen contrast.
| Tips |
You should choose the strategy that best suits your skills and spirit. For Example:
If you are a beginner you might try to avoid the bonuses that give you extra balls. Thus you will be able to concentrate on a single ball. As you get better you would most probably like to add more balls to the game. Rushing between more balls will render the game even more challenging to you and give you better satisfaction while playing.
For advanced players it might also be a good idea to try and receive a couple of speed-up bonuses (once again the recommended number depends on your skills).
Choosing the 'right' bonus:
You will often encounter the dilemma of choosing between two (or more) bonuses that are well apart from each other. In this case you would naturally get one of them and start right off for the other. However, by the time you get there it will have gone off the screen - bummer! :-) So don't hesitate! Instead, try to make up your mind quickly, get the bonus and turn your eyes back on the ball(s). Here is a bit of information about how to manage the bonuses:

If you have more than one ball currently in play or·
If it is an "Add Ball" bonus. In this case it will be better to catch the bonus first. If you can't manage to save the ball afterwards you will still have one ball remaining (the bonus one) and if you do manage to reach the bonus AND the ball (good for you!) then you will have an extra ball in play. Attention: if you have only one ball left in play, make sure that the ball is going to reach the zero level after the bonus. Otherwise you won't even have the chance to receive the bonus - all falling bonuses will be cleared with the last ball in play going off the screen.| Scoring |
The good players play for both pleasure and the score, don’t they? In this game you will find a record of the best scores. Score is determined by the amount of apples you eat. For each apple you earn 10 points. Higher and faster play levels award more points. To view scores go to Menu|Game|High Score
