TouchBricks 1.2 TRIAL
(C)2004 Szymon Ulatowski
The most serious limitation of the trial version is the moving "TRIAL" banner.
It is removed when you buy the full version.
Moreover, with the full version you will be able to submit your scores to the Internet Hall of Fame directly from your palm!
(BTW. My best score on the trial version is ~2500 points ;-)
CHANGES SINE 1.1
- Sound effects
- More locations and orientations are considered when placing a new brick. This fixes the "sudden death" problem - "game over" could happen because of single floating brick at the top of the screen. It also makes the game slightly easier.
- Replay speed can be adjusted
- You can choose which recordings will be uploaded before starting the synchronization procedure
- The play time can be displayed on the Hall of Fame
- Better skin support (skin can use other skin's resources)
- Fixed the recording error (recording could be rejected if another application was launched during the game)
CHANGES SINCE 1.0
- Sony OS5 High Resolution fixed
- Added missing hires Hall of Fame status icons
- The TRIAL banner grows much slower allowing for longer trial play
- Fixed the GPRS Hall of Fame submission problem
- Game recording is now enabled by default if you have plenty of free RAM
- Double-tap-freeze is shown (as snowflakes) to provide feedback
- Fixed the "Ivy" effect (lines were not completed properly)
HOW TO BUY
Buy TouchBricks at PalmGear.com
INSTALLATION
- Install TouchBricks-Trial.prc
It is the main application, required for all palm models.
- If you want the OS5 Double Density or Sony Hires support you should also install TouchBricks-Hires-Skin.prc. If you install both files before the game is run for the first time, it will automatically pick the hires skin. If not, you will have to select it manually in the Extras/Skin menu.
GAMEPLAY
As usual, you have to put falling blocks into lines. What is different, though, is that the blocks do not fall faster but created more often. (The clock on the left tells you how much time is left). You can also manually get the new block into play (by clicking on the clock). Why would you want to do this? Well, if you have 2 (or more) blocks, you could select and handle the "better" one. The other reason is time (with each new block you get a new period of time, if you handle 2 blocks at once the available time is doubled).
See the Help/Show demo menu for some nontrivial examples how the blocks can be handled in TouchBricks.
