MyDiary Form
Fields
Date and Time Created - Date and time that you created the note.
Category - List of pre-defined categories. Tap the + sign to add a new category. (note: Information will be lost if you don't tap the Save button.)
Subject - 30 Characters of text that defines your subject.
Notes - Free form text (a keyboard will make this part go faster).
Buttons
Top - Goes to the first record of the current record set. (need to search first)
Prev - Goes to the previous record. (need to search first)
Next - Goes to the Next record. (need to search first)
Last - Goes to the last record of the current record set. (need to search first)
Search - Tap the New button to clear all fields. You can search on all fields. The date and time created field will be searched where the data is >= to the field data. Notes can be searched based on (a) key word(s). If you enter more than one word then the note is searched for the entire phrase.
New - Clears out all the fields, defaults the date and time created to the current date and time, sets the category to blank.
Save - Saves a new record or updates an existing record.
Delete - Deletes the current record.
General Information
If you click on new accidentally, you can click Prev/Next/Top/Last to navigate the last searched record set. If you are at the last record and tap the Next button, the first record will be displayed. If you are at the first record and tap the Prev button, the last record will be displayed. Click new to fill the date and time created with today's date.
Report Designer
Enter your search criteria for Date and Time Created, Category, Subject and Notes Keyword. If you leave all the fields blank then all records will be selected.
Device - Select the destination of the report. Screen - Writes the report to the screen. HTML File - Writes the report to an HTML file for easy printing on your PC. Text File - Writes the report to a Text file for easy printing or manipulating on your PC.
File Name - Name of file being exported for the current report. Only used when selecting HTML or Text file from the Device drop down.
Buttons
Clear - Clears all search criteria.
Rec # - Displays the number of records that will be selected for the report.
Run Report - Runs the report to the screen, HTML, or Text File. Reports saved to a file will be located in the "My Documents" directory.
Note: Forms are displayed properly when "Fit to Screen" is enabled under the view menu.
Warning: Do not move "Mydiary.cbd" from the root directory of your device. Your application will not run.
