Purchasing Lexmee™
To purchase Lexmee™ please visit www.hiddenelephant.com. You will be presented with a registration code immediately upon completion of your transaction. A copy of the registration code (for your records) will also be sent to your email address should you need to reinstall the game in the future.
The trial version of Lexmee™ is fully functional. You have 30 minutes of actual play time to evaluate the game. This means that the evaluation timer is counting down as long as Lexmee™ is being used.
Installation
To install Lexmee™, please upload lexmee.prc and EnglishDictionary.pdb to your Palm device by performing a HotSync™.
Sony Device Note
Please note that the current version of Lexmee™ will not run in high resolution (320x320) mode for Sony devices running Palm OS 4.x or earlier. This issue will be addressed in a future release.
Getting Started
To launch Lexmee™ just tap its icon. Exit Lexmee™ by tapping "HOME" on the silk screen. Access Lexmee's drop down menus by tapping the "Drop Down Menu" on the silk screen.
Let's quickly get aquainted with Lexmee's game screen layout, which is annotated in Figure 1.

Figure 1: The Lexmee™ Game Screen.
The game screen is comprised of two main areas: the "Play Area" and the "Status Area". The "Play Area" will display one of a number of different letter layouts. The "Status Area" displays your current score, time remaining (in timed mode), the validity of a submitted word (status icon), and the number of words you've found out of the total number of words Lexmee™ found in the current board. The four possible status icons, along with their meanings, can be found in Figure 2.

Game Play
Objective
Your primary goal in Lexmee™ is to find as many words as possible in a given board. Valid words are NOT proper nouns and are a minimum of three letters long unless otherwise set in the Game Settings screen.
Word Selection
Words are selected by dragging the stylus across a series of letters that define the word. More specifically, select a word by performing the following:
- Press and hold the stylus on the first letter of a perspective word.
- Drag the stylus into one of the eight neighboring letters.
- Continue dragging the stylus into neighboring letters until you've reached the last letter of your word.
- Submit your word for validation by releasing the stylus on the last letter of your word.
The selection of words through stylus dragging may seem strange at first, but once you get used to it you will appreciate how quickly you can select words (especially in timed games).
Game Finish
The game will end when you run out of time during timed game play, you find all available words, or you select Game->End Game from the menu. These events will take you to the "End Game" screen (Figure 3) where you can compare your final word list and score with Lexmee's word list and score.

Saving and Continuing
Lexmee™ will automatically save the game in progress if you have found at least one word in the displayed board upon exit. The saved game will be loaded automatically the next time you launch Lexmee™.
Options and Settings
For enhanced play, Lexmee™ has a number of configurable settings. Select the menu item Options->Game Settings to view those options. Among the available options you will find "Time Limit", "Minimum Word Length", and "Board Style" (illustrated in Figure 4).

Often times projects are somehow made possible by individuals that have absolutely no direct relationship to the project. Hidden Elephant Software LLC and its members would like to graciously thank Mendel Cooper and Alan Beale. The efforts of these unsung individuals have led to the creation of the Enhanced North American Benchmark LExicon (ENABLE), a "Public Domain" word list of outstanding quality. Lexmee™ would not be the game it is today without this amazing "Public Domain" word list.
