emPix
emPix 1.0.1 Free Edition
emPix is small utility program that enables you to send pictures captured by Kodak PalmPix camera directly from your Palm device. All you need is Internet enabled Palm device. It works with Palm Mobile Kit, landline modem, wireless modem, data enabled mobile phone or anything else that connects your Palm to the net.

Installation
Unzip empix.zip file to any directory. Install emPix.prc, PPSLLut.pdb and PalmPixLib.prc using the Palm Desktop install tool. If you ware using emPix 1.0.ER (Early Release) it is strongly suggested removing it from your device before installing this version.
Files PPSLLut.pdb and PalmPixLib.prc are part of Kodak PalmPix SDK.

Configure Select Menu|Settings. Enter your SMTP server name, your email address, your name and reply-to address. Please note that you may need to enter your email address as your name in order for some SMTP servers to accept your message. Easiest way to figure out correct settings is to copy them from your desktop email software (Outlook, Eudora ...). |

Select image Tap on 'Select' button to open Select Image dialog. Select image from the list and tap on OK button. Image will be converted to JPEG format. Please note that there is only one image saved in JPEG format at any time. Selecting another image overwrites previous JPEG image. |

Fill in the rest Select recipients (last one is saved) and subject. Type in short note to be included with the message. |

Send Tap on Send Mail button and emPix will connect to server and start sending the message. Using data enabled 14.4 phone as a modem it takes 2-3 minutes to transfer average 320x200 image, 3-5 min for 640x480 image. If you use 33.3 modem, transmition time goes down to 1-2 minutes for larger images. Speed option If your connection speed is at least 33.6K you may want to try 'Fast' setting for slight performance increase. Otherwise leave it at 'Safe'.

Software has been tested with Palm III series and Palm m100 series using Palm Modem and various data enabled phones. When reporting a bug please state model of the Palm and type of the connection (modem, wireless modem, phone).
Known issues and requirements
emPix does not work on some PalmOS 3.3 devices (Palm IIIxe or Palm IIIc). PalmOS 3.5 is recommended. It works on PalmOS 3.1 as well. You need at least 4MB of memory to use emPix.
