Pocket Outlook displays only a maximum of 5 add-ins in the Tools menu (also in the context-sensitive popup menu that appears if you click-and-hold on an item). Given the proliferation of the add-in tools for Pocket Outlook, it is very easy to exceed this limit in practice. For instance, one can easily exceed the limit simply adding the following utilities exceeds the limit:
Utility |
Menu Items Added |
---|---|
Microsoft Power Contacts for Pocket PCs | Create Appointment Create Task Open Web Page |
Microsoft Pocket Streets 2002 Update | Find on Map |
Conduits PeaceMaker | (( Beam Selected )) (( Card Exchange )) |
TJOtala Add Tasks | Add Tasks |
TJOtala MapHelp | Map It |
This utility is a solution to that limitation. It attaches to the Tools menu Pocket Outlook Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks applet as shown below:
When the "More >>>>>>" item is selected, the utility displays a popup menu that shows all registered add-ins for the PIM application in question, up to a maximum of 32 items. A sample of such a menu is shown below:
If this utility ever gets bumped off the Tools menu due to a new add-in being installed, simply un-install and re-install it. This will make it available again.
SETUP.EXE
file from the temporary folder.
It will launch the Windows CE Application Manager which will guide you
through the rest of the installation. If you are asked whether you want to install the
software in another location, note that the selection has no effect - this software is always
installed in the Windows
folder regardless of your choice.

This software is provided as-is. I believe it to be reasonably free of bugs. However, if it should reduce your PocketPC into a smoldering heap of plastic and metal, well, that's just too bad. I would appreciate hearing about it, though, if for nothing else than to figure out how I managed to do it.
